How does Footscray Osteopathy accept payments? Payment for your treatment must be made on the day of your appointment. Credit card* and eftpos are accepted. No cash is accepted. *Amex not accepted.

Does Footscray Osteopathy accept private health insurance? Footscray Osteopathy accepts private health insurance for payment. Private health claims can be processed in the practice on the day of your treatment. Your health insurance provider will be able to give you more detail on how much you could expect to claim for each osteopathy treatment.

Can I use my medicare card to pay for my treatment? Medicare cards can be used to subsidise treatments for those on a Team Care Arrangement (TCA) plan. To be eligible for a TCA, your GP must determine that your condition would benefit from seeing an allied health professional(s). Each individual is eligible for 5 subsidised treatments per calendar year. TCAs must be arranged with your GP before booking your osteopathy appointment.

How can I reschedule or cancel my appointment? Your appointment booking confirmation email will provide a link to reschedule or cancel your appointment. You can also reply to the Cliniko appointment reminder text message or leave a message on the Footscray Osteopathy voicemail.

What is the missed appointment/cancellation policy? If you are unwell or unable to attend a booked appointment, please notify the practice as soon as possible. This can be done by replying to the Cliniko appointment reminder text message, or by leaving a voice message on the Footscray Osteopathy answering machine. The following fees may apply: Cancellation fee of $75 for late cancellations. Missed appointments will be charged the full amount of their missed appointment.

Will I be sore after my treatment? Some patients may experience soreness in the hours after an ostoepathy treatment. This is often a response the body is having to structural changes in the body. Soreness or pain can be expected in the 24-48 hours after a treatment. If you are experiencing unfamiliar symptoms after a treatment, please get in touch to discuss whether your symptoms are normal or require extra attention.

What should I do after my treatment? Most of the time you can go about your day as normal. Sometimes after a treatment, patients can feel tired as their body responds to the changes made during treatment. For this reason, it is recommended to rest to best facilitate your treatment's integration in your body.
