About Footscray Osteopathy
In the heart of Footscray's health and medical precinct, Footscray Osteopathy opened its doors in October 2024. Founded by osteopath Rosie Wilson, Footscray Osteopathy is an inclusive, all ages, family practice providing gentle osteopathic care to the local community.​

Rosie was drawn to osteopathy by its philosophical nature and its ability to help people live well. Her background in yoga, meditation and tutoring anatomy have all contributed greatly to how she views the body, its function and expression of health.​​​
Rosie enjoys the diversity that family practice offers, treating babies through to the later years, and the wide range of presentations that includes. The joy of practising osteopathy comes from applying its philosophical principles to assist each individual patient experience their optimal state of health.​​
After graduating from RMIT University in 2019 Rosie moved to Wellington, New Zealand and gained experience working in a busy inner city practice, City Osteopaths. Returning to Melbourne in 2021 she joined the reputable team at Hillside Osteopathy where she practiced until it closed in late 2023. The timing of Hillside Osteopathy's closure aligned with the end of her pregnancy and the birth of her twin boys in December 2023. Returning to work in 2024, Rosie is thrilled to begin treating patients local to her community and home life in the West.
The practice of osteopathy is a life-long exploration that has continued to provide Rosie with great wonder and fulfilment. Being able to support people and families within the community to feel well gives Rosie great purpose in her work. She looks forward to growing new roots in the community of Footscray and its surrounds and looks forward to meeting the people who call this area home.
Rosie's post-graduate training has been largely in Biodynamic Osteopathy (Phases I-IV) taught by James Jealous DO with a strong foundation in Osteopathic Philosophy as taught by osteopathy's founder, A.T Still. Rosie greatly values the opportunity to learn from peers and foster community amongst osteopaths and has been organising an annual osteopathic retreat for like-minded osteopaths since 2018.
